A Day at the Park...

Today is such a gorgeous, sunny day and we thought we would drive out west to look at how full the Weber River was and found this great little park. I find it very strange (and sad) that most parks now only have those big plastic play sets. Don't get me wrong, they are very safe and clean, but what happened to the old wooden sets that you could climb around on with the huge metal slides that actually gave you a little rush? The park that I grew up by in Hyde Park had an awesome merry-go-round (that I feel off of a number of times and lived to tell about it), a tire swing, wooden jungle gym, fire pole, etc. We lived at that place in the summer and now it has been replaced with a very colorful yet leaves-nothing-to-the-imagination play set. Anyway, we will always stop when we find an "old-school" play set so that our kids can experience a little of what mom and dad did before it's all gone. Do I sound like an old-foggie?
