This is austin with his Easter basket the night before Easter. We dyed eggs and put them in the basket for the Easter bunny. The Easter bunny LOVES hard boiled eggs, but oddly enough, our fridge smelled of hard boiled eggs for the next two days. The Easter bunny must have forgot and left them in the fridge. Silly bunny.

Our Newest Creation

Here are a couple of pics of the mirror we made a little while back. The one that comes with the bedroom set was $250, so we decided to try our hands at mirror-making. This cost us ~$80 to make. Next mirror project will be for a mirror over the mantel, but it will be stained instead of painted. FUN!

Cam and I...well, mostly Cam, but I lent my creative touch, made this mirror a little while back with the new miter saw we got for Christmas.

Slowly Learning Photoshop...

This is the original picture taken at Sears below. The edited one is above (notice the bruise? or lack there of? That is another story). They charge $10 to make any blemish changes and $10 more to convert to B/W or Sepia. RIP OFF!!! Anyway, when we were super slow at work after tax season, one of my coworkers who is an experienced photographer gave me some photoshop tips to make editing faster and easier. Anyway, I've been trying to fine tune my skills a little so when I get my fancy new camera, I'll be ready for some mad-picture-taking sessions. I know this example is pretty amateur stuff, but you have to start somewhere, right? However, a cute subject always makes the picture even better! Thanks Austin!!!!

Conundrum of the Day

Cam thought it would be a great idea to teach Austin that his pants are called britches. Austin has trouble with his r's. Yesterday, in the words of Austin: "Mom, I need my bitches!" Nice one Cam. Nice.

Numero Dos!

Austin loved his cool firetruck birthday. Mom made it especially for him...with a little help from the bakery at Target. YUM!
I have this thing where I have always grown up with crepe-paper birthday decorations, so I have to pass along the tradition. If there isn't crepe paper, there isn't a real party. ;) I think Austin is going to think that we invite all these people over to our house just so we can celebrate his bday...hopefully it won't dawn on him that it is New Year's Eve for awhile. We had little smokies, shrimp cocktail, and bacon-wrapped chestnuts to name a few. Good times. Thanks to everyone who came and partied, we had a blast.
One....

three! ta-da! I really don't think Austin has got out of this thing since last thursday. It just sits in our front room right now with him usually in it. He will just sit there with his blankie and be perfectly content to have his own car. Like father like son I guess. :) He also got some cute clothes from gma's and gpa's, and a totally rad tool set from the carbajal's....I love you guys for making sure to send the present that had the absolute most loose parts you could find. I think this baby has 67 nails and screws....sweet. Payback is a... ;)

Uncle Spencer P-A-R-T-Y

Uncle Spencer came over for the weekend after Christmas and hung out with us. We decided it would be fun to have chocolate fondue -YUM! We also introduced Speni to 24...he is addicted now. We stayed up all hours of the night watching season 7 - sooo good. Jack Bauer 4-ever!

Christmas

Austin got a heavy duty dump truck from gma and gpa for christmas. He thinks it is the greatest thing ever.
The cabbage patch doll on the other hand....not so much. I think gma really needs a grand daughter... :) xoxo mom!!

This is one of those sleepy-head faces that I love! His eyes are puffy when he wakes up, and he isn't fully coherent quite yet.
