So a sort of spontaneous family excursion to the Hoover Dam last week produced these pics. It was an impressive sight to see; the new bridge that is being constructed is going to divert the highway away from the dam. The bridge is 900+ feet above the river bed below, and it is a pretty massive bridge. The dam is only about 30 minutes from Vegas, so if you are ever there, it is worth the detour - once at least. ;)

I have been to Vegas numerous times, and have yet to visit Hoover Dam. I would be sweating bullets the entire time since I LOVE heights, but it would be awesome to see
