Two Front Teeth!

Heidi and I decided to try to get some pics of the babies today.  I was optimistic that I could get some of Austin, but alas, it was not in the cards for today.  Aiden just got his first two teeth on our anniversary while he was staying at Grandma Trudy's.  Poor little guy wasn't eating well and had a fever; same thing happened with Austin.  I am so sad when I look at newborn pictures of either of them and it seems like it was so long ago.  I can barely remember Austin as a baby...time needs to stand still just for a little while. :(

We were up at Grandma Jan's in the front yard when I took these.  I had just gotten my hair done at Serendipity and decided to go a little darker and I loved it!  The next day is our 10 yr HS reunion...hmm.

Lagoon! That's What Fun Is!

Austin and I decided we could not wait and went to Lagoon on opening day.  He loved all the rides, including the big ferris wheel, the tidal wave, the little roller coaster, and the sky ride.  We went on about every ride we could - Austin is about 2" too short for all the bigger rides so hopefully next summer he will be tall enough and we can get season passes!  We got there around 11:30 and stayed until 8:30 and had a blast.  Austin didn't really want anything to eat at lunch time but as we were walking by a food kiosk, he turned to me and said that he wanted a bag of chips.  I of course told him that chips weren't a very good lunch and this is what he said to me "Mom, this is what you need to tell that man: Sir, my son would like a bag of chips, and that is all."  I about keeled over because he was so serious.  Then when we were leaving and trying to find where we parked among the endless numbers of cars, he sighed and said "aaah, we're gonna be here forever."  He probably makes me laugh more than anyone else ever has with all the funny, honest things he comes up with.  Austin, here's to many more years to come of amusement parks with you!

Oh and the super cute little girl in the car was totally random...probably one of the funniest little pictures I've ever seen.  Maybe it is destiny?

First Pool Day of the Summer!

This was the first pool day of the summer for us.  I didn't have to work and it was a hot sunny day, so outside we went!  Aiden is a serious water bug.  Cold, hot, it doesn't matter as long as he is wet.  He splashes around and laughs the whole time.  Austin on the other hand does not see much value in sitting in a cold pool by himself...I guess Aiden and I aren't exciting enough for him.  As soon as the neighbor kids discovered us though, he came out of his shell and got a little wet.

HAFB Air Show

We have been looking forward to going to the air show ever since the last one in 2010.  Due to budget cuts, last year's was cancelled so people were pretty excited about this one.  We switched Grandma Jan Aiden for Spencer...fair trade, right?  I don't know about all these crazy people who bring their newborn babies to things like this...it was kind of cold and rainy and very loud...just stay home if you don't have another option.  Anyhoo, after we parked about a mile away (and we got there early) we walked around to see some of the exhibits, talked to a couple of pilots - including one that probably flew Uncle Jordan to Antarctica - and watched some trick planes.  Then it started to pour...and pour!  Everyone was drenched within a matter of minutes and we took shelter with about 1000 other people in an F-22 hanger for about an hour until the storm let up.  We decided to stay and see the thunderbirds - which were kind of the main reason for going to the air show...and after about 8 hours of waiting for the best part...here is how Austin spent it:
Asleep, with his hands over his ears.  :S

The Mormon Mall

I had a Friday off, so we decided to tag along with Gma and Gpa to the new City Creek mall in SLC.  It is beautiful and super fancy...retractable roof, fountains, Tiffany's...I bought too many cute clothes so I can't go back for awhile.  We went to Nordstrom's cafe which is always fabulous.  It is a little more eclectic and expensive than the one at fashion place and they didn't have the famous raspberry bread pudding there.  I guess there will still be a need for Fashion Place trips then.  But the boys were really good and it was fun hanging out with the Daines clan for the day.

Grandpa Brad's Bday

We came up to Grandma and Grandpa Seamons' for a dutch oven feast for Grandpa Brad's birthday and Aiden thoroughly enjoyed the paper products.  Gma Trudy wanted Grandpa Brad to not lift a finger for his bday so Cam was in charge of the potatoes and chicken and Gma got the birthday cake.

Uncle Benster's Bday

Today was a busy day for us.  First we had London's blessing, then Spencer turned the big 2-0!  He ordered himself a cake complete with a picture of that cheesy show Hawaii 5-0.  Whatever, the cake was delicious!  Also, Grandma Jan brought the boys back a couple souvenirs from her trip to NYC.
