Rainbow Snows!

July 4th was Livi's birthday, so to celebrate, we all went to get rainbow snows in Smithfield from Grandma Trudy's personal rainbow snow chef.  Grandma Trudy is quite the connessoir when it comes to rainbow snows and this lady is the BEST.  Then we went back to gma's house and had got the pool and slip n slide out again!  Grandma and Grandpa have an ORIGINAL slip n slide in the box!  It is much more high quality than the one we bought last week...our's busted in a matter of 10 minutes.  Livi had a pirate themed party with a yummy ice cream cake.  Austin and Livi are the two fireworks babies in the family - 4th of July and New Year's Eve.  Always a party with them!

Sleepover!

After the water day, Livi and Austin had a sleep over.  She didn't have any pj's so she borrowed Austin's Lightning McQueen jammies.  They got in the tub and watched the late neighborhood fireworks show from the open windows, then we read a story and it was bed time.  Seriously it was like midnight though.  So fun to have her stay!

Marsh Day

The Seamons, Carbajal, and Harrison folks ventured down to our neck of the woods for a day of fun in the sun.  The kids had the water going from seriously 1pm to 8:30.  Our lawn was pretty much a marsh by the time they were done and Pine View dam had probably dropped a foot or so; but they had tons of fun and no sunburns!  We love it when the Carbajal's come to play because they bring the party with them..and there are some very photogenic kiddos in the family as well.  They all stayed to see if there would be a big fireworks show at our house, but alas, the neighbors let us down and did not light off the big ones until after the 4th.   So we did sparklers and smoke balls instead.  Our neighborhood seriously goes crazy with fireworks.

Boose

I know everyone has their weird nicknames for their babies and Aiden's is Boose.  I know, I know, it is weird, but he seems to like it and we all think it is funny.  Not sure how it came about but Cam started saying it months ago and it has kind of stuck.  I have my weird names like muffin and honey boy but Cam says those sissy names....boose is much better, ha..whatever.  :P

Two Front Teeth!

Heidi and I decided to try to get some pics of the babies today.  I was optimistic that I could get some of Austin, but alas, it was not in the cards for today.  Aiden just got his first two teeth on our anniversary while he was staying at Grandma Trudy's.  Poor little guy wasn't eating well and had a fever; same thing happened with Austin.  I am so sad when I look at newborn pictures of either of them and it seems like it was so long ago.  I can barely remember Austin as a baby...time needs to stand still just for a little while. :(

We were up at Grandma Jan's in the front yard when I took these.  I had just gotten my hair done at Serendipity and decided to go a little darker and I loved it!  The next day is our 10 yr HS reunion...hmm.

Lagoon! That's What Fun Is!

Austin and I decided we could not wait and went to Lagoon on opening day.  He loved all the rides, including the big ferris wheel, the tidal wave, the little roller coaster, and the sky ride.  We went on about every ride we could - Austin is about 2" too short for all the bigger rides so hopefully next summer he will be tall enough and we can get season passes!  We got there around 11:30 and stayed until 8:30 and had a blast.  Austin didn't really want anything to eat at lunch time but as we were walking by a food kiosk, he turned to me and said that he wanted a bag of chips.  I of course told him that chips weren't a very good lunch and this is what he said to me "Mom, this is what you need to tell that man: Sir, my son would like a bag of chips, and that is all."  I about keeled over because he was so serious.  Then when we were leaving and trying to find where we parked among the endless numbers of cars, he sighed and said "aaah, we're gonna be here forever."  He probably makes me laugh more than anyone else ever has with all the funny, honest things he comes up with.  Austin, here's to many more years to come of amusement parks with you!

Oh and the super cute little girl in the car was totally random...probably one of the funniest little pictures I've ever seen.  Maybe it is destiny?

First Pool Day of the Summer!

This was the first pool day of the summer for us.  I didn't have to work and it was a hot sunny day, so outside we went!  Aiden is a serious water bug.  Cold, hot, it doesn't matter as long as he is wet.  He splashes around and laughs the whole time.  Austin on the other hand does not see much value in sitting in a cold pool by himself...I guess Aiden and I aren't exciting enough for him.  As soon as the neighbor kids discovered us though, he came out of his shell and got a little wet.
