Thought I would do a post on the similarities between the boys.  People ask all the time if they looked alike as babies and I really think they do.

Christmas 2011!

This year we spent Christmas at Grandpa and Grandma Daines's house.  I was sick with the flu on Christmas Eve and then by the 26th Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Benster had it (way worse than I did).  Two days later Austin got it but it only lasted about 6 hours for him.  Cam was the first to get it the week before Christmas and was nice enough to share with the rest of us.  But somehow we were all feelin' pretty good on Christmas day.  Austin got a leaf blower, real tool set, 1600 piece lego set (what was Santa thinking?!), puzzle, tickle monster book (so cute), Melissa and Doug stuff, cash register, and a wallet.  Aiden got a sock monkey, plush tool set, and a little plush baby alligator that he loves to eat.  Cam got me an awesome new camera bag that will hold everything (and more!) and he got a new fancy phone (a couple of weeks ago).  Gma and Gpa gave us a new toaster, X-Box Kinect (so fun!), and other misc stuff.  Uncle Spencer made me a jewelry box which was awesome.  It was a blast and of course Grandma out did herself on the food - especially Christmas morning.  I look forward to that every year because she makes some amazing breakfast dishes.  Stuffed blueberry french toast with home made blueberry drizzle - YUM!  I love Christmas and I can't believe that it is already over...all that preparation for 4 hours...sheesh.  Until next year...

Goofin' Around

We went up to Grandma and Grandpa Seamons' on Christmas Eve to show them the Christmas jammies Ziggy (our elf on the shelf) brought and it turned into a mini photo op on the floor.  We love Grandma Trudy and Grandpa Brad!  So cute!

Oh Santa Clause...

Last week we went to see Santa at the Cache Valley mall because they let you take your own pictures instead of buying an expensive 4x6 that they took.  Austin is still not very sure of Santa...he took the coloring book and candy cane and told him what he wanted but he preferred to do all that while standing at least 2 feet away at all times.  And as you can tell he wasn't fond of me making him be in the picture haha.  That Santa was a little um, grundgy...you should've seen his teeth; but he had a real beard and was nice enough.  Maybe they don't have tooth brushes at the north pole...

New Christmas Pictures

Here are the new family pictures we just had taken by Photographe by Anngee.  I think she did a great job and it only took half an hour!  We had to reschedule twice because of weather.  The boys were not to keen on sweaters but I made them anyway because what is a Christmas picture without sweaters?  Austin ended up really liking his...he has a thing for red...but Cam's was off and the t-shirt back as soon as pictures were done.

A New Hat

So I couldn't resist this little hat when we went to Gardner Village a couple of weeks ago.  Sassy Babies is one of my favorite stores there and they had a bunch of cute hats.  So Aiden got to model it for me the other day.  I just got a new lense for my camera that takes awesome pictures.  It's a 50mm 1.4f...it's amazing how much more light it lets in than my 2.8f and what a difference that light makes.  Anyway he was a sport for the 10 minutes it took to get some pictures.

A Baby Shower

This is the diaper cake that I made for Kim's baby girl.  It contains 4 layers of 170 size 1 diapers, 4 muslin Aden & Anais blankets, 4 onsies, and assorted bathing stuff.  I've always wanted to make one and I think it turned out pretty cute.
Just had to add a couple pics of little dude chillin' before the party.  He slept through most of it.
Aiden and Hannah
Kirsten and Trudy did the food and it was delicious!  Hannah and I made the tissue pom-poms.
There is the party animal herself!
Kirsten found this recipe on Pinterest for this Pineapple Kool-Aid slush that looks like bathwater.  It was very tasty and I will definitely be making it again - with or without the duckies.
And there are the guests of honor...Kim is due Feb 19th with the newest little gal to the family.  So excited to meet her!
